Punk’s cradle: CBGB’s the famous music venue is the subject of our featured tag today.  Along with our launch partner, the Associated Press (AP), we tell the story of the place that launched careers and changed music forever. Who wouldn’t want to live in a world of beautiful music?  Well, many of us have a soundtrack playing in our heads all day long.  A song you remember when you think of something - like the one you heard over and over as you drove to the beach way back when.  Or the one that reminds you of someone or some place special.

Tagwhat’s music channel puts a new spin on our love of music, by placing stories about music, musicians, and anything else music at places - they places where we think those stories will make the most impact.  Like all stories in Tagwhat, these stories are told in words, photos, videos, and, of course, audio.  Here’s what we mean:

• Hear Janis Joplin as you pass the club where she got her start in beautiful Austin, TX.  See historic images of Joplin brushing her hair (at the insistence of the club owner) before her show.
